Here we are, Peacekeeper Squad. A newer faction when compared to the larger PvP teams. We are struggling to grow, to become more competitive.
Over there...there is another team with a similar situation. Out of Gum Gang.
And in the third corner, yet a third team like this: Old World Flag.
Each of these 3 teams uses TeamSpeak, and many of us are online at the same time.
Imagine...our strength if we combined forces. Well nobody wants to merge, so now I ask you to think outside the box. Imagine Gum guys keeps their faction, Flags keep their faction, and Peacekeepers keep theirs too. Each of these 3 factions maintains it's established identity. But...every player in all 3 teams registers an additional fighter, levels him up and joins him 4th faction (that character only). The 4th faction becomes a way for these 3 distinct teams to combine forces, combine numbers, if/when it's convenient and we all are willing.
In this way, each team can still do their own TC if they want, or if we're all online and willing, we can switch to Faction 4 characters, and do a stronger TC as a combined force. No team has to merge, no team has to retire its name. Everyone keeps what they have, but by levelling just 1 more fighter each, we enable all 3 teams to do more.
Logistics
* Who is leader of Faction 4?
* What will the name of that faction be?
* How do we divide TC loot?
* What about Faction 4 base security issues?
* What happens when Faction 1 or 2 or 3 wants to TC a Faction 4 town?
Leader should not matter much since he's just the guy who has to invite those fighters. He could be a level 1 character who remains stationed at the base for the sole purpose of adding names. Have only 1 base to keep things simple. If he turns out to be a jerk, and somehow ruins this whole idea, then we all declare victory for a good effort, and move on, or blame ourselves for choosing a bad leader and find a better one and try again.
Name of Faction 4...as long as it's not an evil name, I hope it doesn't matter much. A few suggested names include: Republican Guard, The Sidewinders, Federation of Tanks, Federation of Bursters, The Midnight Tornadoes, Greater than Zero, Armed Imperial Guardsmen, Dune Defenders.
How to divide TC loot in this plan might only meet the same exact challenge as any other TC team. One guy checks it more often and gets more than his fair share. Oh well, that's how that goes - check it more often and try not to get mad. This Faction 4 idea will not be to blame for a problem that is pre-existing in this game.
Faction 4 Base Security? Ha! No issues at all because no members should use the base for anything beyond joining their fighter. Don't park cars there, don't craft there, etc. It's just for satisfying the TC mechanic.
Overlapping TC. Good question. The rule could be this: any of our 3 core teams can take a Faction 4 team's town, but:
1) Other towns should be taken first, so that overlapping TC is the last choice.
2) Players from the other teams in this plan can attack you! lol. Keep it friendly and it could be good practice.
